Stop tracking a specific campaign
Don't want a campaign in your numbers – like a recruiting or brand-awareness campaign on Meta? Add its Campaign ID to the Blacklist and LeadJourney excludes it from every report and lead.
Not every campaign belongs in your lead numbers. A recruiting campaign on Meta, a brand-awareness push, or a test campaign all generate clicks and form fills – but they aren't the leads you're trying to measure, so they quietly inflate your totals and throw off your cost-per-lead and ROAS. You can tell LeadJourney to ignore a campaign entirely by adding it to the Blacklist.
In short
Go to Settings → Blacklist → Campaigns, pick the platform (e.g. Meta), and add the campaign's Campaign ID. From then on, every click and lead from that campaign is excluded from all reports and lead data – as if it were never tracked.
When to do this
Block a campaign when its traffic shouldn't count toward your marketing KPIs at all:
- Recruiting / hiring campaigns – job-ad clicks and applicants aren't sales leads.
- Brand-awareness or reach campaigns – you're paying for impressions, not measuring leads.
- Tests and experiments – throwaway campaigns you'd rather keep out of the numbers.
This is different from cleaning up bots or spam leads – here you're excluding a whole, real campaign on purpose.
Find the Campaign ID first
The Blacklist matches on the campaign's ID, not its name. For Meta, open Meta Ads
Manager, go to the Campaigns view, and read the Campaign ID column (a long number
like 120398457283940123). Google, LinkedIn and Bing each expose a campaign ID the same way.
Already connected the platform?
If your ad account is connected, the campaign also shows up in your LeadJourney reports with its ID – so you can grab the ID straight from the Campaign Report instead of the ad platform. See Connect Meta Ads.
Add the campaign to the Blacklist
Open the Campaigns tab
Go to Settings → Blacklist (or app.leadjourney.io/settings?slug=blacklist) and select the Campaigns sub-tab.
Click "+ Add to Blacklist"
The button sits on the right of the toolbar, next to the search box.
Choose the platform and paste the ID
Pick the Platform the campaign runs on (Meta, Google, LinkedIn or Bing Ads) and paste the Campaign ID you copied.
Add a note (optional)
Use the Note field for a quick reason – e.g. "recruiting campaign" – so your team knows why it's excluded.
Decide on historical data, then save
Leave "Also delete historical data for this campaign" unticked if you only want to stop counting it from now on. Click Add to Blacklist – the campaign is excluded immediately.
“Also delete historical data for this campaign” is permanent
This optional checkbox does more than stop future tracking. It permanently removes all cost data, postback logs, ads and adsets already synced for that campaign ID on the selected platform, and this cannot be undone. Leave it unticked to simply stop measuring the campaign from now on while keeping what's already there.
Good to know
- Existing data stays put unless you tick the delete option – blocking only stops tracking going forward.
- It's reversible. Delete the blacklist entry and the campaign is tracked again from that point on (it won't recover data blocked while the entry was active).
- Not a paid campaign? If you instead want to exclude a section of your site – like your
careers pages – block it by Entry URL (e.g.
/careers/*) on the Entry URLs tab. See Manage your blacklist.
