How do I change or reset my password?
Change your LeadJourney password from your profile while signed in, or reset a forgotten one from the login screen – step by step.
There are two ways to set a new password, depending on whether you can still sign in:
- You know your current password and just want to change it → do it from your profile while signed in.
- You forgot your password and can't log in → reset it from the login screen.
Change your password while signed in
Your password lives on the Profile tab in Settings, in the Change Password section just below your personal information.
Where to find it
In LeadJourney, open Settings → Profile, or go straight to app.leadjourney.io/settings?slug=profile.
Open the Change Password section
On the Profile tab, scroll to Change Password.
Enter your passwords
Fill in all three fields:
- Current password – your existing password, to confirm it's really you.
- New password – the password you want to switch to.
- Repeat new Password – type the new password again so it can be confirmed.
The new password and its repeat must match.
Save your change
Click Save Changes. The password fields clear once the change is saved, and you'll use the new password the next time you sign in.
Reset a forgotten password
Can't sign in? Reset your password from the login screen – LeadJourney emails you a verification code so you can set a new one.
Start the reset
On the login screen, click Forgot password?. Enter the email address for your account and click Reset password now.
Enter the verification code
LeadJourney emails a verification code to that address. Type it in to confirm the reset is really you. Didn't get it? Check your spam folder, then use the resend option.
Create a new password
Enter your New Password and Repeat Password, then click Save password. We recommend at least 8–12 characters.
Once it's saved, LeadJourney confirms the change and sends you back to the login screen. Sign in with your new password.
Asked to change your password at login?
If LeadJourney shows "You must change your password before continuing" right after you log in, an admin has asked you to set a fresh password. Enter your Current Password, then a New Password and Confirm New Password, and click Change password to continue.
Use a strong, unique password
Pick a long password you don't reuse anywhere else, and store it in a password manager. For an extra layer of protection, also turn on Two-Factor Authentication – with 2FA on, keep your authenticator app handy for your next login.
