Connect TikTok Ads

Connect TikTok for Business, pick your ad accounts, name your events for TikTok and add the tracking parameter. LeadJourney sends your conversions back server-side — the TikTok Pixel still belongs on your site.

Connecting TikTok Ads pulls your spend and performance into LeadJourney and sends your conversions back, so TikTok can optimise on real outcomes rather than form fills.

Where to find it

Open Settings → Traffic channels, find the TikTok Ads card and click Connect.

Step by step

Connect your TikTok for Business account

Under Step 1, sign in with TikTok for Business and approve the access. You're sent straight back.

Choose your ad accounts

Under Step 2, the ad accounts you can reach appear in a table. Switch on the ones this workspace should track. Spend and performance sync from that moment; data from before the connection is not imported.

Map your events to TikTok

Under Step 3 – Map Events to TikTok Ads you decide what each of your conversions is called when it goes back as an offline conversion. Every event gets a row, prefilled with <Event> by LeadJourney; where TikTok has a fitting standard event (e.g. Complete Payment for a purchase), LeadJourney preselects it as an unsaved suggestion you accept with one click.

Step 3b – Send Timing controls when a mapped conversion is sent.

Naming an event is not the same as switching it on

Whether a conversion is sent back at all is governed by that event's Send back to Ads? toggle under Events & conversions.

Add the tracking parameter

Under Step 4 – Add Tracking Parameter, copy the parameter string and add it to your TikTok campaigns' URL:

lj_channel=tiktok_ads&lj_c_id=__CAMPAIGN_ID__&lj_as_id=__AID__&lj_ad_id=__CID__&lj_placement=__PLACEMENT__

TikTok replaces __CAMPAIGN_ID__, __AID__, __CID__ and __PLACEMENT__ on every click, so LeadJourney knows the campaign, ad group, ad and placement behind each visit. Paste the string exactly as shown.

Keep the TikTok Pixel on your website

LeadJourney does not replace the TikTok Pixel

LeadJourney sends your leads, purchases and other conversions back to TikTok server-side, as offline conversions. The TikTok Pixel base code is still needed on your website — independent of LeadJourney — to record page views.

Why: TikTok builds retargeting and website audiences, lookalikes and its own delivery optimisation from those page views. Without the base code those audiences stay empty.

Where to find it: TikTok Ads Manager → Tools → Events Manager.

Troubleshooting

Spend syncs but no conversions arrive at TikTok

Check in this order: the campaign URL carries the tracking parameter, the event is mapped under Step 3, and the event's Send back to Ads? toggle is on. The API Postbacks log shows each attempt and its status.

Clicks land under the wrong channel

The parameter string was edited. The lj_channel=tiktok_ads part is what files the click under TikTok Ads — paste the string unchanged.
