Traffic Channels

The hub where you decide which traffic sources LeadJourney tracks – connect ad platforms, activate organic and AI-search channels, and create your own custom channels. Every channel here becomes a dimension in your reports.

Traffic Channels is where you tell LeadJourney which sources of traffic to track. Connected ad platforms bring in cost and creative data automatically; organic, social and AI-search channels are activated so their traffic is categorised correctly; and you can add custom channels for anything else. Every channel you set up here becomes a source you can group and filter by in your reports.

Channels at a glance

Pick a channel to jump straight to its setup. Paid platforms open their own connection guide; organic, AI-search and social channels link to the section below that explains how to activate them.

Where to find it

Open Settings → Traffic Channels, or go to app.leadjourney.io/settings?slug=traffic-channels. The header reads Choose your Traffic Channels"In this section, you can create new traffic channels, whether through ad platforms or custom traffic channels."

Channels are organised into tabs: All Traffic Channels, Paid Ad Channels, Organic Channels and Other Channels.

The paid platforms – Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Bing Ads – connect via a secure login so LeadJourney can pull spend, campaigns and creatives automatically. Each card shows its status:

ButtonMeaning
ConnectNot connected yet – start the connection flow.
Setup incompleteConnection started but not finished – click to complete it.
Edit IntegrationFully connected – manage or re-authorise the connection.

Each platform has its own guide

The step-by-step connection flows live in their own articles: Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads and Bing Ads. To bring in several accounts from one platform, see Connect multiple ad accounts.

Organic, AI-search and social channels

Channels like Google Organic, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Instagram, LinkedIn Organic and so on don't have an ad account to connect – you simply Activate them. An active channel shows an Activated badge; you can Deactivate it later (your historical data is preserved).

For each non-organic channel you'll find a Get UTM Tracking Parameter link – use it to tag the links you share so traffic lands in the right channel. See UTM Builder.

Custom traffic channels

Need a source that isn't in the list – a newsletter sponsor, a podcast, an offline QR code? Click Add Custom Traffic Channel, give it a name, and it behaves like any other channel: it gets its own UTM tracking parameter and appears in your reports. Custom channels show a Custom Channel badge with Edit and Delete actions.

Deleting a custom channel keeps your history

Deleting a custom channel removes its configuration but preserves historical data"the channel configuration will be permanently removed. Historical data will be preserved."
